Dr Malcolm Cook, Senior Fellow, ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute contributed an Op-Ed: “Three Misunderstandings of China-ASEAN Economic Relations” which was published in Knowledge@Wharton, an online business journal by Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Op-Ed: “Previous UMNO splits show Najib can stay on” – ISEAS Research Fellow Norshahril Saat

 

ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute research fellow, Norshahril Saat, opines that previous UMNO splits show Mr Najib can stay on. He added that early signs show that appeasing Dr Mahathir is the step UMNO’s leaders will be taking. However, according to Dr Norshahril, this move may be insufficient for Mr Najib to stay in power for long, unless he reinstates his inclusive agenda, embodied in One Malaysia, to ensure he has the support of non-Malays.

Head of ASEAN Studies Centre, Tang Siew Mun, has written an op-ed for TODAY in response to ASEAN’s failure to reach a unanimous decision to include the South China Sea (SCS) disputes in the joint communique.

Op-Ed: “Najib must unite Umno at general assembly” – ISEAS Research Fellow Norshahril Saat

 

ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute research fellow, Norshahril Saat, opines that Mr Najib must unite Umno at general assembly and regain support from disgruntled members. Dr Norshahril added that Mr Najib should also use this assembly to make amends with Mr Muhyiddin and Dr Mahathir.
