The findings are from an online survey conducted by the ASEAN Studies Centre from 10-23 April 2017, based on the views of over 300 respondents from government, academia/think-tanks, business, media and civil society in the ten ASEAN members.

ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute launched a new pictorial book titled “Yusof Ishak – A Man of Many Firsts” on 5 May 2017.
Authored by ISEAS Deputy Director, Dr Ooi Kee Beng, the pictorial volume is a biography of Mr Yusof Ishak and a collection of more than 140 pictures depicting his eventful life in the late colonial period of Singapore and Malaya, and the impact he had brought to society and country as a journalist and in public service, including his role as the first President of Singapore.
