Junichi Inada conferred the Public Service Star

Congratulations to Mr Junichi Inada on the conferment of the Public Service Star by President Tony Tan at the National Day Awards Investiture at the University Cultural Centre on 6 November 2016.  His award is for his many years of contributions to the greening of Singapore.

At the National Parks Board (NParks) from 1983 to 1994, Mr Inada spearheaded the development of several regional parks including Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park and Gardens by the Bay, as well as implemented the Singapore Botanic Gardens masterplan. While at NParks, he advocated the park connector network concept in 1987. Mr Inada is currently advising ISEAS on landscape improvements and maintenance.
