Editors of the new book “The SIJORI Cross Border Region: Transnational Politics, Economics and Culture“, Dr Francis E. Hutchinson, Senior Fellow and Coordinator of the Regional Economic Studies Programme at ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute, and Dr Terence Chong, ISEAS Senior Fellow, Coordinator of the Regional Social and Cultural Studies Programme and Co-coordinator of the Thailand Studies Programme, along with two authors, Dr Su-Ann Oh, ISEAS Visiting Fellow and Ms Anne Gasco, spoke on the publication at a Singapore-ETH Centre Seminar, jointly organised by the Future Cities Laboratory (FCL) and ISEAS on Wednesday, 14 September 2016.
The newly-launched book examines the interaction between Singapore, Johor, and the Riau Islands over the past quarter-century, and seeks to shed light on how these territories could develop in the future.
