Mustafa Izzuddin interviewed on 93.8LIVE regarding expectations from President Jokowi’s State of the Nation address

 

On 16 August, Dr Mustafa Izzuddin was interviewed live on 93.8LIVE Radio for their news bulletin. He was asked to comment on what one can expect from President Jokowi’s State of the Nation address.

Mustafa opined that we can anticipate Jokowi talking about the health of the economy, the threat of transnational terrorism on the safety, security and unity of the country, the conduct of foreign policy to bring domestic benefits into the country, and the importance of safeguarding sovereignty in the Natunas.

Mustafa also added that Jokowi has exhibited firm and resolute leadership when it came to reshuffling the Cabinet, and sacking the energy and mining minister after he was found to contravene the domestic laws of Indonesia.

ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Fellow, Dr Norshahril Saat, is featured in a documentary Detik 2016/2017.

In this episode, Dr Norshahril Saat commented on the challenges facing Dr Mahathir’s and Muhyiddin Yassin’s newly formed political party, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu). He also spoke about the party’s objectives and disunity among Malaysian opposition.
