The Sunday Times features the ISEAS Archaeology Team in its report “More history unearthed at Botanic Gardens”

 

The ISEAS Archaeology Team was featured in The Sunday Times regarding a secret World War II air-raid shelter that had gone undetected for decades. The team was commissioned by NParks last year to study the historical site.

Op-Ed: “Previous UMNO splits show Najib can stay on” – ISEAS Research Fellow Norshahril Saat

 

ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute research fellow, Norshahril Saat, opines that previous UMNO splits show Mr Najib can stay on. He added that early signs show that appeasing Dr Mahathir is the step UMNO’s leaders will be taking. However, according to Dr Norshahril, this move may be insufficient for Mr Najib to stay in power for long, unless he reinstates his inclusive agenda, embodied in One Malaysia, to ensure he has the support of non-Malays.

Op-Ed: “Najib must unite Umno at general assembly” – ISEAS Research Fellow Norshahril Saat

 

ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute research fellow, Norshahril Saat, opines that Mr Najib must unite Umno at general assembly and regain support from disgruntled members. Dr Norshahril added that Mr Najib should also use this assembly to make amends with Mr Muhyiddin and Dr Mahathir.

The 37th Singapore Lecture

 

ISEAS-Yusof Ishak Institute organized the 37th Singapore Lecture, delivered by His Excellency Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi of the Republic of India, at the Shangri-la Hotel Singapore on Monday, 23 November 2015.

The Lecture, chaired by DPM Tharman Shanmugaratnam, was titled “India’s Singapore Story”.
