ISEAS in the News: 38th ASEAN Roundtable

 

The 38th ASEAN Roundtable, themed “ASEAN in a Fragmented Global Order”, took place on 3 October 2023. Dr Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN, delivered the keynote address titled “ASEAN’s Role and Relevance in a Troubled World”, setting the tone for the one-day discussions which covered questions of economic cooperation, security concerns, management of regional flashpoints, external relations with major power and other countries, as well as the grouping’s internal dynamics. More than 200 participants took part in the event, which was supported by Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.
