Mr James Chai is Visiting Fellow with ISEAS – Yusof Ishak Institute awarded the inaugural Fan Yew Teng Grant for Independent Writing. He will receive RM5,000 to support the research and writing of his book on the extraordinary defiance of ordinary Malaysians against oppressive power structures.
